Platform Data Engineer

The Alexander Technology Group is looking for a Lead Data Platform Engineer for a client in the New Hampshire area.

Contract to permanent (3 months before conversion)

Qualifications:

• Key Responsibilities
• 6+ years of data platform experience with hands-on ownership of production-scale Snowflake environments, including DBA, RBAC, row-level security, warehouse/cost management, performance tuning, and core Snowflake features.
• Strong dbt administration and data engineering expertise, including project architecture, incremental/snapshot models, CI/CD, testing, observability, deployment management, and partnership with analytics engineers.
• Experience administering modern data pipelines and platform operations, including Fivetran/Matillion, automated alerting, SLA monitoring, data quality, GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, Terraform, and strong Python/SQL skills.
• Hands-on Snowflake AI/ML experience, including Cortex AI, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, LLM functions, semantic data layers, analytics agents, and integrations with Slack or other business collaboration tools.
