Our client, a highly respected and well-established professional services firm known for its collaborative culture and strong industry reputation, is seeking a Payroll Tax Compliance Analyst to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional with deep expertise in payroll tax compliance, multi-state payroll processes, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the organization remains fully compliant with federal, state, and local payroll tax legislation.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of payroll experience required
- Minimum 3 years of multi-state payroll experience required
- Experience with Workday strongly preferred or experience with another large-scale payroll system
- Strong accounting and/or payroll background required
- Extensive knowledge of payroll procedures and payroll tax legislation
- Understanding of accounting practices and audit requirements
- Ability to manage highly specialized responsibilities with accuracy and discretion
- Strong analytical and compliance-focused mindset
Job Description:
- Monitor and reconcile all employer and employee payroll tax contributions across the organization
- Ensure firm compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Support payroll tax filings, audits, and reconciliation processes
- Research and interpret payroll tax legislation updates and compliance requirements
- Work closely with payroll leadership to maintain accurate payroll records and reporting
- Identify and resolve payroll tax discrepancies and issues
- Assist with audit preparation and support compliance initiatives
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and accuracy due to the sensitive nature of payroll data
