  • A highly respected global organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Tax Analyst to join its' payroll and finance team. This position will serve as the subject matter expert for payroll tax compliance across a complex multi-state employee population and partner closely with Payroll, Accounting, HR, and external vendors.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll tax professional who enjoys managing compliance, resolving tax issues, and driving process excellence within a sophisticated corporate environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Manage federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, including Forms 941, 940, W-2s, and related state filings
  • Serve as the internal payroll tax SME and advise stakeholders on regulatory changes and payroll tax implications
  • Utilize ADP SmartCompliance and related payroll systems to ensure accurate reporting and filings
  • Support payroll tax accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger activities
  • Manage payroll tax notices, agency correspondence, audits, and issue resolution
  • Maintain documentation and support internal controls and compliance initiatives
  • Monitor and interpret payroll tax legislation and implement necessary changes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of payroll experience with significant payroll tax responsibility
  • Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
  • Experience managing payroll taxes in a multi-state environment (25+ states preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Enterprise and ADP SmartCompliance
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
  • Compensation & Benefits
