- Position Summary
- Part-Time Reconciliation & Cash Reporting Analyst (12+Hours per Week)
- SolomonEdwards is seeking a Part-Time Reporting & Cash Reconciliation Analyst to support one of our leading fintech clients. This opportunity is ideal for a bachelor's or master's degree student, recent graduate, or early-career accounting or finance professional seeking a flexible, long-term part-time opportunity within a fast-paced financial services and Capital Markets environment.
- The ideal candidate has advanced Microsoft Excel skills developed through academic, internship, or professional experience and enjoys working with financial reporting, cash reconciliations, transaction analysis, and large financial datasets. Experience supporting Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), structured finance, or Capital Markets operations is highly preferred but not required.
- Working alongside a collaborative accounting and Capital Markets operations team, you will support daily cash reconciliations, financial reporting, transaction matching, payment processing, and financial data validation supporting loan funding and securitization activities. As the role evolves, there may also be opportunities to assist with database mapping, reporting enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
- This position is expected to continue for up to one year or longer and is ideal for someone seeking a long-term commitment of approximately 12-16 hours per week.
- The client is headquartered near Grand Central Station in New York City. Both onsite and remote candidates will be considered.
- Essential Duties
- Perform daily cash, account, and transaction reconciliations while supporting recurring financial reporting.
- Support loan purchase matching and funding reconciliation activities.
- Process and reconcile payment transfers between multiple legal entities.
- Support reconciliation activities related to Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) transactions.
- Analyze financial data using advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL.
- Validate financial data, investigate variances, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
- Assist with database mapping and data validation as business needs evolve.
- Support accounting operations, cash reporting, and Capital Markets transaction processing.
- Partner with accounting and finance team members to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing.
- Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects.
- Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, large dataset analysis) gained through academic, internship, or professional experience.
- Previous internship or professional experience in accounting, finance, banking, treasury, financial operations, reconciliation, bookkeeping, or Capital Markets is preferred.
- Exposure to Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), structured finance, or securitization is highly preferred.
- SQL experience is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while managing recurring weekly responsibilities.
- Ability to commit to approximately 12-16 hours per week for up to one year or longer.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $50 – 55.
