- Role Description
- The Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operational and financial performance of the business. This position combines financial analysis, supply chain reporting, inventory oversight, and operational support to ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and informed decision-making across the organization.
- The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across finance, operations, customer service, and third-party logistics partners. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Key Responsibilities
- Financial & Accounting Support
- Prepare recurring operational and financial reports for leadership.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Process invoices, credit memos, and related documentation accurately and timely.
- Review, investigate, and resolve customer deductions, invoice discrepancies, and chargebacks.
- Assist with month-end close activities and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Operations & Supply Chain Analysis
- Track, analyze, and report key business and operational performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor warehouse performance, including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, service levels, storage costs, and other key logistics metrics.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support inventory management and reporting initiatives.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers and internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
- Business Planning & Process Improvement
- Support operational planning, forecasting, budgeting, and vendor performance reviews.
- Develop reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for management.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.
- Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, finance, accounting, or supply chain analysis.
- Proficiency with Sage and/or QuickBooks is required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred
- Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG), food & beverage, or manufacturing industry.
- Experience working with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory management software.
- Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
