- Position Overview
- We are seeking a Cloud Vulnerability Remediation Analyst to support enterprise cloud security initiatives through the identification, assessment, remediation, and validation of vulnerabilities affecting cloud-hosted systems and services. This role will work closely with Security, Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure, and Application teams to reduce security risks, improve cloud security posture, and ensure compliance with organizational remediation standards.
- The ideal candidate will have experience supporting cloud environments, vulnerability remediation processes, system administration, patch management, and cloud security operations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze vulnerability findings affecting cloud-hosted resources identified through approved security tools and scanning platforms
- Assess vulnerability applicability, severity, and risk impact across cloud infrastructure, platform services, operating systems, and supporting components
- Plan and execute remediation activities, including patch deployment, configuration changes, security hardening, and mitigation implementation
- Validate remediation results and confirm successful closure of assigned vulnerability findings
- Perform cloud-based patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities using approved operational processes
- Implement cloud security configuration changes to reduce exposure when vendor patches are unavailable
- Create, update, and maintain remediation records, change requests, and supporting documentation within the system of record
- Ensure remediation activities comply with established change management, approval, validation, and audit requirements
- Provide remediation status updates, supporting evidence, and reporting information for audits, compliance reviews, and leadership reporting
- Support the implementation of compensating controls and temporary mitigations when permanent remediation is not immediately available
- Collaborate with Security, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, and Application teams to resolve complex or cross-platform vulnerabilities
- Identify recurring vulnerabilities, remediation blockers, technical debt, and process improvement opportunities
- Support enterprise initiatives to improve cloud security posture and reduce security risks over time
- Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional IT experience with hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, system administration, or vulnerability remediation
- 3+ years of experience supporting cloud-hosted systems within enterprise cloud environments
- Understanding of vulnerability remediation concepts including patch management, configuration hardening, and compensating controls
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, operating systems, and platform services
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and change management procedures
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Ability to follow established remediation, security, and compliance procedures
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working with security, infrastructure, and cloud operations teams
