- About the Role
- Role: We are seeking an experienced Network Analyst to join an Enterprise Networks team responsible for the administration, implementation, support, and evolution of enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure supporting both corporate and SCADA environments. This role will play a key part in ensuring network reliability, security, performance, and scalability while contributing to architectural design, planning, and implementation initiatives across on-premises and cloud-based environments.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in network administration, network design, troubleshooting, and infrastructure modernization, along with a deep understanding of enterprise networking and security best practices.
- Key Responsibilities
- Administer, implement, troubleshoot, and document enterprise network infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and resolve issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Design and implement network solutions that align with business and security requirements.
- Develop and execute network device lifecycle and evolution strategies.
- Provide expert technical support and engineering services for network devices and technologies.
- Manage and support disaster recovery planning, implementation, maintenance, and testing activities.
- Implement updates, patches, and configuration changes in accordance with organizational standards.
- Maintain system integrity through effective change management and problem management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and secure network solutions.
- Support integration of on-premises and cloud network environments.
- Participate in project deployments and technology modernization initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies and industry best practices.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of recent hands-on experience in network administration, analysis, design, and architecture.
- Expertise with Spine-and-Leaf Data Center Networks utilizing VXLAN with BGP EVPN.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting routing protocols including:
- BGP
- EIGRP
- OSPF
- Extensive experience with Cisco networking technologies, including:
- Cisco Switches and Routers
- IOS
- IOS-XE
- NX-OS
- Strong experience with Fortinet solutions, including:
- FortiGate Firewalls
- FortiSwitch
- FortiAP
- FortiManager
- FortiAnalyzer
- FortiNAC
- Experience managing and securing Microsoft Azure networking, including:
- Virtual Networks (VNETs)
- VNET Peering
- Route Tables
- Front Door
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Expertise in load balancers and web application firewall technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Proven experience deploying network technologies within enterprise projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong understanding of hybrid enterprise environments integrating cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Experience with LTE and satellite communication technologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and Change Management methodologies.
- Experience supporting or operating SCADA networks.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a provincial government organization, Crown corporation, Oil & Gas transmission company, or similar large-scale enterprise environment in North America.
- Relevant industry certifications in networking, cloud, or security technologies are considered an asset.
