Role Overview
Join our Coding Department as a Medical Coding Analyst I or II. This remote, full-time position requires a permanent address and residency in New Mexico. You will be responsible for coding Inpatient/Outpatient charges and specialty services using ICD and CPT classification systems. You will review medical records to ensure compliance and provide feedback to practitioners on coding practices.
What You Will Do
Reviews and analyzes medical records to assign CPT and ICD-10 codes. Analyzes and resolves coding edits. Identifies and reviews documentation in an EMR environment. Interacts with providers to request clarification of documentation components.

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 6 months directly related experience (for Medical Coding Analyst I)
- 2 years directly related experience (for Medical Coding Analyst II)
- Certification in a coding field (e.g. RHIT, RHIA, RCC, CIRCC, CSS, CCA, CCS-P, COC, CIC, CPC, CPC-P, CPC-A)
