About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Marketing Database Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our contact database to support effective marketing campaigns and sales initiatives within the crop protection industry. You will own the marketing operations tasks that ensure our database remains accurate, current, and capable of delivering targeted insights. This position requires a blend of hands-on data management expertise and a test-and-learn mindset to continuously identify and implement new tools and technologies that improve efficiency and data quality. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and IT stakeholders, serving as a subject matter expert on data structure, flows, and marketing automation tools. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Customer Engagement Strategy - ACE, you will play a vital role in elevating our marketing operations and ensuring data integrity across all platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in database management/support, marketing operations, or CRM administration
- Deep proficiency with CRM and marketing automation platforms
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL or data query tools strongly preferred
- Proven track record managing large-scale database hygiene, deduplication, and governance initiatives
- Experience handling data consolidation and record merges in organizational changes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing insights
- Experience evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies to optimize database operations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with a history of cross-department collaboration
Responsibilities
- Source and harvest new contacts to expand and enrich the marketing database
- Execute contact loads, ensuring data accuracy and proper formatting during ingestion
- Tag and categorize contacts for efficient retrieval and segmentation
- Generate targeted contact lists to support marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Perform ongoing data hygiene activities, including deduplication and cleaning
- Identify and inactivate expired or stale leads to maintain database relevance
- Manage record merges resulting from customer mergers, acquisitions, or organizational changes
- Test, learn, and optimize new technologies and tools to improve database workflows
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and reporting to support marketing needs
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and IT teams to ensure database integrity aligns with business objectives
- Recommend and implement process improvements and best practices for data governance
- Serve as the subject matter expert on database structures, data flows, and marketing tools
