We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Senior Specialist to join our client's team to drive vertical strategy, market intelligence, and profitable growth across Canada. Sitting at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and commercial decision-making, this newly created role focuses on market sizing, market intelligence, and turning complex data into actionable strategy. You will interact regularly with cross-functional teams and present directly to executive leadership, serving as a key driver in evaluating new market dynamics, tariffs, and international growth corridors.

In this role, you will take full ownership of analyzing customer insights, lane expansion, and competitive landscapes to guide executive-level decision-making. You will bridge the gap between heavy data analysis and strategic storytelling, using tools like SQL, Python, and Power BI to build dashboards and deliver compelling presentations. The ideal candidate possesses an advanced analytical skillset paired with strong executive presence and the confidence to present strategic insights in person and to cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead industry vertical and international lane analysis to identify, size, and prioritize growth opportunities and emerging market trends.
  • Conduct market sizing, share-of-wallet, and attainable share assessments using CRM data, digital analytics, and external market intelligence.
  • Quantify and prioritize growth opportunities through corridor-level analysis, trade flows, customer demand, service feasibility, and geopolitical impact (such as tariffs and market shifts).
  • Develop deep insights into customer shipping behavior and demand patterns to inform targeted market and lane expansion strategies.
  • Partner collaboratively with Sales, Pricing, and Revenue Management teams to evaluate conversion potential, competitive positioning, and network differentiation.
  • Translate complex data into executive-ready dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, and narratives that align cross-functional teams and support high-quality commercial decision-making.
  • Lead market intelligence and revenue management initiatives with minimal supervision, presenting findings directly to executives and key internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in market intelligence, market sizing, customer insights, strategy, or revenue management (less focused on traditional marketing).
  • Strong hands-on technical proficiency with SQL, Python, and Power BI, with demonstrated experience building quantitative market models and executive dashboards.
  • Strong, native-level understanding of the Canadian market landscape.
  • Proven track record of strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability and confidence to stand up in front of executive audiences to communicate complex analytical findings.
  • Highly collaborative mindset with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across a variety of internal teams.
  • Industry background in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or B2B services is strongly preferred.
