- Position Overview
- The Business Analyst – Manufacturing Systems serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring business requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, and translated into effective technology solutions. This role partners with manufacturing operations, quality, engineering, supply chain, and IT teams to identify process improvement opportunities, optimize business workflows, and support digital transformation initiatives.
- Key Responsibilities
- Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, business goals, and improvement opportunities.
- • Gather, document, analyze, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to elicit requirements and gain stakeholder alignment.
- • Develop business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, process maps, and user stories.
- • Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Process Improvement & Optimization
- • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and standardization.
- • Lead process mapping and gap analysis activities across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and support functions.
- • Recommend solutions that improve efficiency, quality, compliance, and user experience.
- • Support continuous improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities with measurable business outcomes.
- • Track and report realized benefits against defined project objectives.
- Solution Design & Implementation Support
- • Work closely with IT, software vendors, and project teams to design solutions that meet business requirements.
- • Evaluate proposed solutions and assess business impacts, risks, and dependencies.
- • Support system implementation projects, upgrades, and enhancements.
- • Participate in solution reviews, testing activities, and deployment planning.
- • Assist in defining business rules, workflows, reports, dashboards, and data requirements.
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test scenarios.
- • Coordinate testing activities with business users and project teams.
- • Verify that implemented solutions satisfy business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- • Document testing results and facilitate issue resolution.
- Change Management & User Adoption
- • Support organizational change initiatives associated with new systems and processes.
- • Develop training materials, user guides, and communication plans.
- • Facilitate end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
- • Promote user adoption and continuous feedback for solution improvements.
- Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- • Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related role.
- • Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, MES/MOM, ERP, quality
- • Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
- • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- • Experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, Visio, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar collaboration tools
