- Role: Manager, Business Intelligence Delivery
- Location: Remote
Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a nationally recognized, growth-oriented Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm — one of the larger independent wealth management organizations in the country, known for combining fiduciary financial planning with a strong internal data and technology culture — in their search for a Manager, Business Intelligence Delivery.
Position Summary
The Manager, Business Intelligence Delivery is responsible for operating the organization's business intelligence platform and delivering accurate, timely analytics, reporting, and data visualizations that support strategic decision-making across the firm. Rather than building the platform, this role serves as the subject-matter expert and business representative for platform requirements, partnering closely with the firm's Product organization to evolve the platform over time. The role also leads and mentors a team of business intelligence analysts, manages delivery priorities, and translates business needs into requirements and specifications. It works closely with internal data development teams and manages priorities with an offshore analytics team to ensure systems are accurate and work stays on schedule. The role's primary measure of success is the reliable delivery of analytics to stakeholders.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee data analysis activities, including data mining, trend analysis, and predictive modeling, to extract actionable insights and support decision-making.
- Create and manage comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that provide stakeholders with timely, relevant, and accurate information.
- Establish and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Operate and administer the firm's business intelligence platform, ensuring analytics, dashboards, and reporting are delivered reliably and on schedule to stakeholders across the firm.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert and business representative to the Product organization, defining and prioritizing requirements for the business intelligence platform, and partner closely with the product counterpart who leads the platform's development and delivery.
- Direct the team's business intelligence support for mergers and acquisitions, including data normalization, ingestion, monthly and integration reporting, and integration testing, to ensure acquired-firm data is accurately onboarded, reconciled, and reportable.
- Oversee the accuracy and timely delivery of the team's regulatory and compliance reporting, including quarterly and annual regulatory filings, maintaining sound business logic and audit-ready documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert, guiding leadership and fellow team members with data insights and best practices.
- Delegate and review work completed by the business intelligence team.
- Lead cross-functional projects, collaborating with data engineers and business leaders on data initiatives.
- Communicate frequently and work closely with the offshore team during weekly check-ins to prioritize work, ensure projects move forward, and deliver specifications for new output.
- Support marketing and other business units with analytics and reporting on key performance indicators, campaign performance, and ROI.
- Direct ad hoc analyses to support specific business initiatives and projects.
- Work with training teams to verify correct representation and understanding of data being visualized.
- Respond to requests for analysis tools and data validation from all departments.
- Oversee systems access and ensure the security of data access.
- Represent the firm in a positive and professional manner.
- Adhere to the firm's policies, procedures, and core values.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business and role needs, and responsibilities may evolve over time consistent with the overall purpose and scope of the role.
- Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Business Intelligence team, managing approximately four direct reports.
- Build a high-performance, value-driven, constructive culture grounded in accountability, trust, growth, and recognition.
- Hire, coach, and retain strong talent through clear expectations, ongoing feedback, and development conversations.
- Consistently communicate and reinforce role-based performance standards, providing timely, constructive feedback and recognition.
- Ensure team efforts align with organizational and departmental priorities, helping employees understand how their work contributes to the firm's success.
- Create clarity through consistent communication, coaching, and feedback to support performance, engagement, and development.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement by supporting new ideas, thoughtful risk-taking, and enhanced operational effectiveness.
- Lead with integrity, consistently upholding the highest ethical and legal standards, and actively promote adherence to the firm's policies, procedures, and core values.
