The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Commander, Executive Director, Vice Commander, Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Director of Staff and other areas of responsibility with objectively based information for making decisions on administrative and regulatory program requirements. The organizational goals or objectives of this position are to support the AFSC Commander, Executive Director, Vice Commander, Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Command Chief Master Sergeant, Director of Staff and other AFSC Home & Staff Offices (A2, HO, IG, IP, JA, PA, SB, SE) through the effective management of program requirements.

  • May be required to travel to perform temporary duty
  • May have extended/other than normal duty hours

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSA)

  • 1. Knowledge and skill to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, devise solutions to problems, and identify changes and trends.
  • 2. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
  • 3. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
  • 4. Ability to access or locate information through the use of a computer and software programs.
  • 5. Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations and procedures.
  • 6. Knowledge of audiovisual techniques, theories, and practices.
  • 7. Knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and primary functions of the major organizational elements of the Air Force Sustainment Center, AFMC, as well as other Commands, Air Staff, USAF, and other DoD agencies.
