# Product Designer

## About the Role

Tiny Health is seeking a **Product Designer** to shape digital experiences that help individuals and families better understand and improve their health through microbiome science.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role responsible for the **end-to-end product design process**, from discovery and research through interaction design, visual design, prototyping, developer handoff, launch, and post-launch iteration. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, scientists, clinicians, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve complex user problems, and deliver thoughtful product experiences.

The role is suited to a designer who is comfortable with ambiguity, works effectively in a fast-paced startup environment, and focuses on meaningful user outcomes alongside strong visual and interaction design.

## Key Responsibilities

• * Own the end-to-end product design process from discovery and concept development through prototyping, validation, developer handoff, launch, and iteration.
• * Partner with product managers, engineers, scientists, clinicians, and stakeholders to define problems, prioritize opportunities, and develop solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• * Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, practitioners, and content partners to translate complex scientific information into clear and trustworthy product experiences.
• * Use user research, analytics, experimentation, and post-launch feedback to identify customer insights and inform product improvements.
• * Design intuitive and accessible experiences that simplify complex health information and help users take meaningful action.
• * Move quickly and iterate frequently while making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed and quality.
• * Maintain a high standard of product quality through strong interaction design, visual craftsmanship, systems thinking, and attention to detail.
• * Contribute to and evolve the design system to improve consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the product.
• * Influence product strategy by identifying opportunities, challenging assumptions, and advocating for customer needs.
• * Participate in design critiques, share feedback, improve design processes, and contribute to a culture of learning and collaboration.

## Required Qualifications

• * **5+ years** of experience designing, shipping, and evolving digital products.
• * Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, including customer problem identification, research, interaction design, visual design, launch, and measurable outcomes.
• * Proven experience designing **responsive web and mobile applications**.
• * Strong attention to interaction design, usability, and visual craftsmanship.
• * Proficiency in **Figma**, including prototyping, design systems, and developer handoff.
• * Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and simplify complex or technical concepts into intuitive, user-centered experiences.
• * Highly autonomous and self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities, drive initiatives forward, and deliver results with minimal guidance.
• * Comfortable working in a **remote-first environment**, communicating proactively through asynchronous and synchronous channels, maintaining clear documentation and regular updates, and collaborating effectively while working independently.

## Work Arrangement & Schedule

• * **Remote-first** work environment.
• * Full-time employees are based in **North America**.
• * Core working hours are **9:00 AM–6:00 PM CST**, with the schedule shiftable by up to two hours in either direction:

• * 7:00 AM–4:00 PM CST
• * 9:00 AM–6:00 PM CST
• * 11:00 AM–8:00 PM CST
• * Collaboration primarily uses written communication, Slack, huddles, and meetings when needed.
