  • A PE. A leader. A power-systems expert. This is an opportunity to make a bigger impact.
  • Our client is a highly respected engineering firm specializing in data centers, mission-critical facilities, and complex critical infrastructure. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership on major projects across the United States.
  • Base salary: $200,000–$250,000+, depending on experience and technical expertise. Exceptional candidates with highly specialized mission-critical or data center experience may be considered above this range.
  • Why This Opportunity Is Different
  • This isn't a position where you'll spend your day simply producing drawings.
  • You'll have a significant voice in how major electrical systems are designed, engineered, and delivered.
  • You'll establish electrical design strategies, influence system architecture, lead other engineers, work directly with clients and contractors, and help solve some of the most challenging power-system issues facing today's mission-critical industry.
  • You'll also remain technically involved—which makes this particularly attractive for an experienced engineer who wants leadership without walking away from engineering.
  • What You'll Lead
  • You'll provide electrical engineering leadership from concept through construction and commissioning for data centers and other mission-critical facilities.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading electrical design for large-scale data centers and mission-critical facilities.
  • Establishing electrical design criteria and system architecture.
  • Developing critical-power distribution strategies.
  • Leading utility service and medium-/low-voltage distribution design.
  • Evaluating generators, UPS systems, transfer systems, paralleling systems, and redundant power architectures.
  • Leading/reviewing load calculations, equipment sizing, voltage drop, fault-current, and other electrical studies.
  • Leading/reviewing short-circuit, protective-device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
  • Providing technical direction to electrical engineers and designers.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
  • Identifying technical risks before they become project problems.
  • Participating in construction administration, RFIs, submittals, field investigations, commissioning, and turnover.
  • Working directly with clients, contractors, utilities, manufacturers, and commissioning teams.
  • Leadership Is a Major Part of the Role
  • You'll be expected to lead people, not just projects.
  • You'll mentor engineers, review their work, provide technical direction, and help develop the next generation of electrical engineering talent.
  • You'll also have an opportunity to help establish and improve electrical design standards, processes, tools, specifications, and quality-control practices.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • We're looking for an experienced electrical engineer who combines strong technical capability with leadership and judgment.
  • You should have:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license – REQUIRED
  • Significant experience designing complex building electrical power systems.
  • Data center and/or mission-critical experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with critical power distribution systems.
  • Strong knowledge of generators, UPS systems, transfer equipment, MV/LV distribution, and redundant power systems.
  • Experience with short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
  • Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and industry standards.
  • Experience leading and mentoring electrical engineers and designers.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills.
  • The ability to make independent technical decisions and take ownership of project outcomes.
  • You May Be a Great Fit If You Are Currently a:
  • Lead Electrical Engineer
  • Senior Electrical Engineer
  • Electrical Engineering Manager
  • Electrical Department Manager
  • Mission Critical Electrical Engineer
  • Data Center Electrical Engineer
  • Electrical Engineering Director
  • Senior Electrical Engineer ready to take the next step into technical leadership
  • What You'll Get
  • $200,000–$250,000+ Base Salary
  • Remote work – U.S.
  • High-level technical leadership
  • Major data center and mission-critical projects
  • Direct client exposure
  • Opportunity to mentor and develop engineers
  • Significant autonomy and decision-making authority
  • Potential for broader technical, client, and practice leadership as the organization grows
  • Important Requirements
  • PE License is required.
  • Candidates must currently reside in the United States.
  • U.S. work authorization is required. No visa sponsorship is available at this time.
  • Interested?
  • If you're a PE electrical engineer with serious power-system experience and you're ready for a role where your technical judgment, leadership, and experience will actually influence major projects, this is worth a conversation.
  • $200K–$250K+ base for the right person.
  • Confidential inquiries are welcome.
  • Thank you
  • Wazeer Khan
