- Role Description The Junior Financial Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in San Jose, CA. This role supports the finance team with data analysis, preparation of financial reports, and monitoring key performance indicators. Daily responsibilities include assisting with budget and forecast modeling, reviewing financial statements for accuracy, and contributing to financial planning activities that guide strategic decisions. The Junior Financial Analyst will prepare and maintain spreadsheets and dashboards, support month-end and quarter-end reporting, and help identify trends, variances, and opportunities to improve financial performance. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams, responding to information requests, and maintaining organized documentation of financial data and analyses.
- Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret quantitative data and financial metrics.
- Candidates should possess Finance knowledge and experience working with Financial Statements.
- Candidates should possess skills in Financial Reporting and the preparation of management reports.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Financial Planning, budgeting, and forecasting support.
- Proficiency with Excel and other spreadsheet or data analysis tools; familiarity with financial or accounting software is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in credit unions, community-based financial services, and member-focused financial solutions is a plus.
