Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Junior Financial Analyst (Entry / Junior Level). The Junior Financial Analyst will assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data related to research initiatives and organizational operations. Day-to-day tasks include supporting financial planning activities, preparing basic financial reports, reviewing financial statements, and performing variance and trend analyses under supervision. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, contributing to budget tracking, and collaborating with senior analysts and project leads to ensure data integrity. The analyst will use spreadsheets and financial tools to present clear, concise findings for internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative data and identify trends.
Foundational knowledge of finance and financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting concepts.
Ability to read, understand, and work with financial statements and related documentation.
Exposure to financial reporting processes, including basic report preparation and data reconciliation.
Proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and comfort working with data sets.
Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Interest in open-source research, academic environments, and evidence-based analysis is highly beneficial.
