1. About Our Client:

The organization operates within business intelligence and data analytics, supporting the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters (DHS HQ). It addresses the challenge of managing and facilitating effective use of an enterprise data analytics platform to improve data accessibility and usability for its users.

2. About the Opportunity:

The Junior Data Support Analyst role supports the enterprise data analytics platform by acting as the initial point of contact for users. This position is responsible for analyzing user inquiries, translating them into actionable requests, investigating common issues, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure timely resolution. The role contributes to enhancing platform adoption, user satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

3. Responsibilities:

  • • Serve as the initial contact for analytics platform users, assessing and triaging data and platform inquiries.
  • • Analyze user requests to identify root causes, necessary actions, and resolution paths.
  • • Translate user needs into well-defined requests and document them in ServiceNow.
  • • Conduct preliminary investigation of common platform issues such as access, data availability, and usage questions.
  • • Coordinate with senior analysts, data engineers, and platform teams to resolve complex requests.
  • • Develop and maintain user-facing documentation, FAQs, and knowledge articles.
  • • Support users in understanding platform capabilities and best practices.
  • • Monitor inquiry trends to identify recurring issues and suggest improvements.

4. Requirements:

  • • US Citizenship.
  • • Ability to maintain DHS Entry on Duty/Public Trust clearance.
  • • Minimum of 1 year IT experience.
  • • Familiarity with data analytics platforms, reporting tools, or data systems.
  • • Experience documenting requirements and requests clearly.
  • • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • • Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • • Experience with service management or intake systems such as ServiceNow.
  • • Ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize tasks.
  • • Experience working in Agile environments.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
