Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of data systems and infrastructure. The Junior Data Engineer will work with data teams to build reliable data pipelines, manage data workflows, and ensure accurate and efficient data processing for business and analytical needs.
Key responsibilities include assisting with data collection, integration, transformation, and storage processes. The role involves supporting the design and maintenance of data pipelines, monitoring data quality, troubleshooting data issues, and improving data workflows. The Junior Data Engineer will collaborate with analysts, developers, and business teams to ensure data is accessible, consistent, and reliable.
The position also involves supporting database management, automation tasks, documentation, and performance improvements. The ideal candidate should have strong technical foundations, problem-solving abilities, and an interest in developing scalable data solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of data structures, databases, data processing, and software development concepts.
Familiarity with SQL and relational database systems.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar technologies is preferred.
Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline concepts.
Experience with data visualization, analytics platforms, or cloud technologies is an advantage.
Familiarity with data storage solutions, APIs, or distributed data systems is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and quality.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Strong learning ability and willingness to explore new technologies and tools.
