About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Architect to join our growing data team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to begin a career in data architecture. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help design, organize, and maintain scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems.
No prior professional experience is required—we value curiosity, analytical thinking, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in designing and documenting data architecture and data models.
Support the development and maintenance of databases and data warehouses.
Help organize, classify, and structure business data for reporting and analytics.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and software developers on data-related projects.
Assist in creating data flow diagrams and data mapping documentation.
Monitor data quality and support data governance initiatives.
Participate in database optimization and performance improvement activities.
Learn and apply data architecture best practices and industry standards.
Document technical processes, data definitions, and system relationships.
Support data migration, integration, and transformation projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or final-year student) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Basic understanding of databases and data management concepts.
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
Understanding of data modelling concepts (ER diagrams, normalization).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and best practices.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Basic knowledge of Python for data processing.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.
Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus.
Awareness of data governance, security, and privacy principles.
