Role Description
This role is for a Junior Data Analyst who will support data-driven decision-making by assisting in the collection, preparation, analysis, and interpretation of data across various business functions. In this position, you will work with structured and semi-structured datasets to help transform raw data into meaningful insights that support operational efficiency, performance tracking, and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities include gathering data from internal systems, spreadsheets, reports, and databases, then cleaning, validating, and organizing the data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability. You will assist in maintaining datasets, checking for data quality issues, and applying standardized processes to ensure reliable analytical outputs.
You will support the analysis of key performance indicators, trends, and variances, helping identify patterns, anomalies, and potential opportunities for improvement. Under guidance from senior analysts or stakeholders, you will contribute to analytical projects by preparing calculations, summaries, and structured data reviews.
You will also help create reports, dashboards, and basic data visualizations that clearly communicate findings to internal teams. This includes organizing data for presentation, documenting assumptions and methodologies, and ensuring results are easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences.
The role requires strong attention to detail, logical thinking, and a willingness to learn. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business questions, translate requirements into analytical tasks, and support data-informed decision-making. Accuracy, organization, and clear communication are essential for success in this role.
The Junior Data Analyst plays an important role in maintaining data integrity, supporting reporting processes, and enabling teams to rely on accurate, timely insights for everyday decisions.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources
Proficiency with spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets
Basic understanding of data analysis concepts, metrics, and KPIs
Ability to prepare clear reports and simple data visualizations
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and analytical methods
Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members
Educational background in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred
