- Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Writer role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Writer will produce clear, accurate, and engaging content across multiple channels, including reports, articles, web pages, newsletters, thought leadership pieces, and member communications. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching complex financial services topics, drafting and editing content, and translating technical policy or data insights into accessible language for diverse audiences. The role involves collaborating closely with policy, communications, events, and training teams to ensure consistency of tone, style, and messaging. The Writer will also contribute to content planning, support the development of campaign materials, and help maintain editorial standards and best practices.
- Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills, with proven experience producing clear, concise, and engaging content for professional or policy-oriented audiences.
- Ability to conduct structured research, interpret complex information, and present it in an accessible and accurate way.
- Familiarity with digital and print publishing processes, including content planning, proofreading, and basic content management practices.
- Experience or interest in financial services, public policy, economics, or a related field, with the ability to quickly grasp sector-specific topics.
- Excellent attention to detail, grammar, and style, with an understanding of tone-of-voice guidelines and audience-specific messaging.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
- Good organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with online publishing tools; experience with content management systems is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a membership body, trade association, professional services, or media environment is beneficial.
