Role Description The Owner role at Monza is a part-time, remote position responsible for overseeing the overall direction and performance of the company. The Owner leads strategic planning, sets business goals, and ensures that projects align with Monza’s quality standards and client expectations. Daily activities may include reviewing project proposals and budgets, guiding project managers, approving key operational decisions, and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and vendors. The role also involves monitoring financial performance, identifying growth opportunities, and managing risk and compliance related to construction operations. The Owner collaborates with internal teams to support safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery while promoting a positive, inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
Experience in construction or general contracting, including commercial and residential projects, with knowledge of building, electrical, carpentry, and concrete work.
Strong business management skills, including strategic planning, budgeting, financial oversight, and resource allocation.
Project leadership capabilities, such as supervising project managers, coordinating multiple projects, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Client relationship and communication skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and the ability to represent the company professionally.
Understanding of construction safety standards, building codes, and regulatory compliance relevant to general contracting.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing business needs.
Prior ownership or senior leadership experience in a construction or related services company is highly beneficial.
Relevant education or training in construction management, business administration, or a related field is an advantage.
