- Junior Data Analyst – Role Description & Qualifications
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making through data collection, analysis, reporting, and business intelligence activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a passion for working with data to generate meaningful insights that support organizational objectives.
- The Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, organizing, validating, and analyzing data from multiple sources to support operational, financial, and strategic initiatives. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with large datasets while ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, clean, and validate data from various sources.
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for stakeholders.
- Monitor data quality and perform routine data validation checks.
- Assist in developing and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and reporting systems.
- Support forecasting, planning, and business performance analysis activities.
- Create visualizations and presentations to communicate analytical findings.
- Collaborate with teams to understand reporting requirements and business needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
- Document methodologies, findings, and reporting procedures.
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, and reporting tools.
- Ability to interpret and present data in a clear and meaningful manner.
- Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Previous experience through internships, academic projects, reporting roles, research assignments, or data-related work is an advantage.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools, data visualization platforms, and statistical software is beneficial.
- Experience working with large datasets and preparing analytical reports is preferred.
