Data Analyst - Securities & EDM Projects

About the Role:

Our banking client is seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support critical securities setup and delivery initiatives. You'll work on high-priority projects including EDM Phase 2, Spire, and W360 upgrade implementations. This role requires strong analytical skills, securities industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Set up and verify various types of securities (funds, bonds, money markets, etc.) across multiple applications
• • Verify setup information and resolve discrepancies with vendor sources
• • Manage end-of-day checking procedures and ensure same-day requests are completed accurately
• • Establish and maintain communication networks with business units for security setup data
• • Monitor setup issues and ensure timely follow-up and resolution
• • Provide responsive client support and maintain company reputation through excellent service
• • Escalate issues immediately and participate in team cross-training activities
• • Support compliance and policy adherence across all deliverables

Required Skills:

• • Bachelor's degree (University degree required)
• • 3+ years of experience in financial services
• • Strong knowledge of the securities industry
• • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• • Ability to work effectively under pressure
• • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• • Team player mentality with cross-functional collaboration experience

Preferred Skills:

• • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) designation
• • Experience with EDM, Spire, or similar banking systems
• • Background in securities operations or settlement

Compensation: $18-$23/hr CAD
