- Junior Data Analyst – Role Description & Qualifications
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making through data collection, analysis, reporting, and business intelligence activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for transforming data into meaningful insights that support organizational goals and operational efficiency.
- The Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, organizing, validating, and analyzing data from multiple sources to identify trends, measure performance, and support strategic initiatives. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage large datasets while maintaining data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Key responsibilities include preparing reports, dashboards, and performance summaries, conducting data validation and cleansing activities, monitoring data quality, identifying trends and patterns, and supporting business performance analysis. The position may also involve maintaining databases, generating actionable insights, assisting with forecasting and planning activities, supporting process improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address reporting and analytical requirements.
- The successful candidate should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, reporting systems, and business intelligence tools. Familiarity with data analysis methodologies, statistical concepts, data visualization techniques, and reporting best practices is highly beneficial. Strong quantitative and analytical skills are essential for interpreting information and presenting findings in a clear, concise, and actionable format.
- Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, curiosity, and strong communication skills. A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines are highly valued. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders is important for success in this role.
- Preferred qualifications include a background in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or related fields. Previous experience in reporting, research, administration, operations support, data management, or analytical projects will be considered an advantage. Familiarity with reporting software, database systems, business intelligence platforms, data visualization tools, or analytical applications is also beneficial.
