Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Junior Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level). The Junior Data Analyst will assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing project and environmental data related to landslide treatment, slope protection, and rock fall protection. Day-to-day tasks include performing basic data analysis, preparing charts and reports, and supporting data modeling efforts to inform engineering and safety decisions. The role involves collaborating with senior team members to interpret findings, document methodologies, and maintain data accuracy. The Junior Data Analyst will also help improve data workflows and contribute to internal dashboards or summaries for project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics capabilities.
Candidates should possess a basic understanding of Statistics for interpreting trends and supporting data-driven decisions.
Candidates should possess introductory experience in Data Modeling or an eagerness to learn modeling concepts.
Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with technical and non-technical team members.
Relevant qualifications include current enrollment in or completion of a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Familiarity with spreadsheets, data visualization tools, or basic programming (e.g., Excel, Python, R, or similar) is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and follow structured guidance from senior staff.
Interest in geotechnical, environmental, or civil engineering projects and a willingness to develop domain knowledge over time.
