Role Description The Junior Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) will support data-driven decision-making across Amar Kutir’s artisan units, showroom, and Self-Help Group initiatives. This part-time, remote role involves collecting and organizing data from sales, production, and community programs, cleaning datasets, and preparing basic reports and dashboards. The analyst will assist in identifying trends in artisan performance, product demand, and program outcomes, and help translate findings into simple, actionable insights for non-technical team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include working with spreadsheets or basic analytics tools, documenting data processes, and collaborating with staff to improve data quality and reporting. The role offers an opportunity to apply analytical skills in a social enterprise context and learn from experienced team members.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and support evidence-based decisions.
Candidates should possess Data Analytics and Data Modeling skills to work with datasets, build basic models, and create reports or dashboards.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Statistics to perform simple quantitative analysis and validate insights.
Candidates should possess Communication skills to explain findings clearly, prepare concise summaries, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Comfort with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and entry-level analytics tools.
Attention to detail, reliability in handling data, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Interest in rural development, social impact, or artisan-based enterprises is highly beneficial.
Relevant coursework or a diploma/degree in statistics, economics, data science, mathematics, social sciences, or a related field is an advantage, but equivalent practical experience is also valued.
