- About the Role
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Business Analyst to support business analysis, process improvement, documentation, and data-driven decision-making initiatives. This entry-level role is designed for someone who enjoys understanding how businesses operate, organizing information, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working with stakeholders across teams.
You will work with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, prepare documentation, support reporting, and help translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements. This is an opportunity to develop practical business analysis skills while gaining exposure to cross-functional projects and business operations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Assist with gathering, organizing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
- Analyze business processes, workflows, and operational information to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare business requirements documents, process documentation, user stories, meeting notes, reports, and presentations.
- Support the creation and maintenance of process maps, workflow diagrams, and requirement documentation.
- Analyze business and operational data using spreadsheets and other appropriate tools.
- Help prepare reports, summaries, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with business, operations, product, technology, and other cross-functional teams.
- Participate in meetings, requirement discussions, process reviews, and project activities.
- Assist with user acceptance testing, validation, issue tracking, and documentation.
- Track action items, requirements, dependencies, and project deliverables.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other analytical projects as assigned.
- Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-op experience, academic projects, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to organize information and communicate findings clearly.
- Basic understanding of business processes, requirements, and workflow analysis.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage priorities and complete assigned work in a remote environment.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to business analysis, operations, product, consulting, project work, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with requirements documentation, user stories, process mapping, or workflow analysis.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, data visualization, or reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum concepts.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Coursework or project experience involving business analysis, analytics, information systems, economics, operations, or related areas.
Compensation & Benefits
Recommended compensation: $65,000–$85,000 per year.
The actual compensation range, benefits, and any additional compensation are subject to the employer's approved compensation structure and applicable requirements.
Benefits and additional compensation will be provided according to the employer's applicable plans and policies.
- Work Arrangement
- This is a fully remote, full-time W-2 position for candidates residing in the United States, subject to applicable employment, payroll, and hiring requirements in the candidate's state of residence.
