2. About the Opportunity:
The IT Manager - Data & Analytics Platform Operations leads the daily management and strategic direction of enterprise data and analytics platforms. This role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of data services that support organizational objectives, driving operational excellence and modernization initiatives. The position plays a key role in aligning platform operations with business priorities and fostering innovation within the data and analytics ecosystem.
3. Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations and support for enterprise data, analytics, reporting, integration, and cloud platforms
- Ensure platform availability, performance, reliability, and scalability
- Establish and monitor operational metrics, SLAs, KPIs, and service dashboards
- Manage incident response, problem management, root cause analysis, and recovery activities
- Oversee platform maintenance, upgrades, patching, release management, and governance
- Implement best practices for observability, monitoring, resilience, and service management
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, audit, and operational standards
- Manage demand intake, work prioritization, resource allocation, and operational planning
- Establish governance frameworks, standards, documentation, controls, and procedures
- Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Provide executive reporting and performance updates
- Lead and develop a team of engineers and support personnel, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
- Set objectives, performance expectations, and career development plans
- Manage staffing, succession planning, and professional development
- Build partnerships with business leaders, product teams, and technology stakeholders
- Facilitate platform adoption and user experience improvements
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, data engineering, security, architecture, and automation teams
- Serve as escalation point for platform issues and service improvements
- Communicate roadmaps, status, risks, and progress to leadership
- Support cloud transformation and platform modernization initiatives
- Identify automation opportunities and improve service efficiency
- Develop operational analytics and performance reporting
- Align platform strategy with organizational goals and industry best practices
- Manage budgets, vendor spend, licensing, and operational expenses
- Monitor resource utilization and ensure effective allocation
- Support business case development for platform enhancements
- Perform other duties as assigned
4. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field, or equivalent education and work experience
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, business intelligence, integration, or data platform technologies
- At least 2 years of leadership or people management experience
- Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Strong knowledge of business intelligence and analytics platforms, data integration and ETL technologies, data warehousing, cloud data platforms, incident/change/problem management, and operational governance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills
- Ability to lead teams through changing priorities
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
