- Position Title: IT Business Analyst Expert
- Duration/end date: 06 months
- Location: Toronto, ON (2 days onsite)

- Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution validation.
- Break down complex problems, analyze data, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical design, particularly in platform transformation initiatives.
- Review and ensure quality of deliverables (e.g., requirements documents, process flows, data models).
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate defect triage and resolution.
- Ensure solutions meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations prior to production deployment.
MUST HAVE
- 7–10+ years of business analysis experience within financial services or capital markets.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience defining:
- Business requirements
- Functional requirements
- User stories
- Process flows
- Data mapping
- Acceptance criteria
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Visio, MS Office Suite, and collaboration tools.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead complex initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
- NICE TO HAVE
- Experience within Debt Capital Markets, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, Syndication, Investment Banking, or Global Markets.
- Understanding of:
- Bonds
- Debt issuance lifecycle
- Book Building
- Allocations
- Pricing workflows
- Trade lifecycle
- Settlement processes
- Experience with market data and capital markets platforms such as Bloomberg, IPREO, DirectBooks, Salesforce, or related systems.
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools including Power BI, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
Any specific education/certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
