Job Summary:
The IT Asset Analyst is responsible for supporting the management and maintenance an accurate inventory of all IT assets within Harris County, TX. This role involves assisting and supporting the tracking of the IT Asset Lifecycle, including hardware and software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and supporting procurement and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn and have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of IT infrastructure and asset management best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain and update the organization’s IT asset management system with accurate information on hardware, software, licenses, and warranties.
- Monitor IT asset lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
- Collaborate with procurement, IT operations, budget, and finance team to ensure proper documentation and compliance of IT assets.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of IT assets to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Track software license usage and ensure compliance with vendor agreements and corporate policies.
- Support the testing and deployment of IT asset-related
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of IT asset management tools and processes.
- Respond to internal stakeholder inquiries regarding asset status, availability, and lifecycle.
- Ensure proper tagging and classification of assets for easy identification and tracking.
- Help coordinate IT asset disposal and recycling following company and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree
Experience:
3+ years of experience working in IT Asset Management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Applicants for this position will be subject to a criminal background check that includes being fingerprinted. Automatic Disqualification:
- Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for any Felony, and any Class A Misdemeanor
- Convictions, probation, or deferred adjudication for a Class B Misdemeanor, if within the previous 10 years
- Open arrest for any criminal offense (Felony or Misdemeanor)
- Family Violence conviction
