Work on live middle-market deals from day one. Train alongside a team of experienced investment bankers and get hands-on exposure to the full deal process.
Ravinia Capital is a boutique investment bank serving middle-market companies with enterprise values of $25 million to $200 million. We advise on sell-side M&A, debt and equity placements, restructuring, and special situations. We are a small, fast-moving firm focused on execution and closing transactions.
We are hiring an Analyst to support our investment banking engagements. The role is primarily virtual and offers the opportunity to work directly with our deal team across multiple live transactions. This position begins as a project-based role with a clear path to full-time employment. The learning curve is steep, the exposure is meaningful, and your work will have a direct impact on active deals.
Who Thrives Here
- The right person is defined more by attitude than pedigree. You:
- · Get things done. You take ownership, follow through, and do what the deal requires without being asked twice.
- · Are responsive and organized. Clients and teammates never have to wonder where things stand.
- · Read financial statements fluently and can build and use integrated financial models.
- · Are highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and know how to use them to tell a clear story.
- · Use AI tools to work faster and more effectively. We use Claude daily and want someone who embraces these tools.
- · Have common sense, an instinct for dealmaking, and enjoy the process of getting a transaction to close.
- · Care about producing high-quality work and representing the firm well.
What You Will Do
- · Gather, organize, and analyze messy or incomplete data sets and turn them into usable information.
- · Build, update, and analyze 13-week cash flow models and other financial models.
- · Create client deliverables in Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools.
- · Support M&A transactions, financings, due diligence, and other deal workstreams.
- · Conduct research and build pitch materials using databases and public sources.
- · Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and the Ravinia team.
- What We Are Looking For
- · At least 18 months of experience in investment banking, accounting, transaction services, or a related field.
- · A BA, BS, MBA, or MS in accounting, finance, or another analytical discipline.
- · Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including the ability to design, build, and use integrated financial models.
- · The ability to manage deadlines across multiple workstreams.
- · The ability to work independently under pressure while knowing when to ask for guidance.
- · Strong writing and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- · Authorization to work in the United States.
- Why Ravinia
- You will work on live transactions from your first week, trained by a team of deal professionals with deep experience across M&A, restructuring, and special situations. You will be coached on how transactions actually work, not just the mechanics — process management, client dynamics, deal judgment.
- We have strong processes, and we are always open to improving them.
- If you want to learn how deals get done and want your work to matter, this is the seat.
Compensation: Hourly salary plus a performance-based bonus.
