• Duration: 6-month internship

• We’re looking for an Investment Analyst Intern at Inception Capital, a New York-based VC firm with a focus on early-stage opportunities across AI, crypto and fintech, in both the US and emerging markets (LATAM and SEA).
• We are looking for Investment Research Interns to work directly with our investment team on deal sourcing, live deals, and market research.
• Our internship program has a strong track record: past interns have gone on to join or found leading firms across the industry.

What you'll do:

• Plugged in, or eager to get plugged in, to founder and builder communities: you notice interesting projects before they show up in the market
• Produce investment memos, market maps, and thematic research reports on sectors across AI, crypto, and fintech
• Conduct due diligence on potential deals: competitive analysis, metrics benchmarking, and reference-style primary research
• Evaluate startups, founders, and emerging fund managers through primary and secondary research
• Track industry developments and synthesize weekly insights for the investment team

Who you are:

• Strong interest in AI, crypto, and fintech, including how they play out in emerging markets (LATAM, SEA)
• Familiar with crypto basics: how blockchains and major protocols work
• Sharp analytical and writing skills: you can turn messy information into a clear, defensible thesis
• Proficient in reading and writing English materials
• Ready to conduct quantitative and qualitative research and produce high-quality investment reports
• Curious, detail-oriented, and able to think independently
• Able to commit to a continuous 6-month internship: full-time over the summer, continuing at 3 days/week through the fall semester
• New York-based candidates preferred; hybrid (onsite + remote)
