  • Overview
  • An opportunity is available for an Investment Accounting Data Analytics and Reporting Manager to join a Corporate Finance and Investment Controllership team. This individual contributor role is responsible for delivering investment accounting reporting, financial analysis and data insights while supporting regulatory, management and statutory reporting. The role combines technical accounting expertise with data analytics, reporting, process improvement and stakeholder management.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Lead investment accounting reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of internal and external financial reports.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investment-related reporting matters across the finance organisation.
  • Prepare, review and analyse quarterly, annual and management reporting for investment portfolios.
  • Collaborate with Financial Reporting, Investment Operations, Controllers, auditors and other key stakeholders.
  • Support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of reporting processes and departmental responsibilities.
  • Execute and oversee NAIC regulatory reporting, including insurance schedules and statutory financial statements.
  • Support US GAAP financial reporting, consolidated financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Oversee reconciliations across GAAP, statutory, tax and management reporting frameworks.
  • Manage reporting related to consolidations, foreign exchange, non-controlling interests, cash flow reporting and other financial disclosures.
  • Monitor accounting, regulatory and industry developments and communicate key impacts to finance leadership.
  • Perform peer benchmarking, financial analysis and reporting trend analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through automation, analytics and process enhancements.
  • Coach and support stakeholders to promote consistent reporting practices across the finance organisation.
  • Contribute to projects focused on financial reporting, valuation and process improvement.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in statutory (STAT), US GAAP and/or management reporting.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in data analytics, reporting and business intelligence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
  • Preferred Experience
  • 8+ years' experience in insurance accounting, statutory reporting or financial reporting.
  • CPA qualification preferred.
  • Experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, statutory accounting and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with multi-entity consolidations and complex reporting environments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using SAP, MicroStrategy and other financial reporting or business intelligence tools.
  • Strong understanding of investment accounting, financial controls and reporting best practices.
