Job Description

In this 6 month contract position, you’ll be responsible for inventory and replenishment processes for assigned departments to support product availability, freshness, sales performance, and inventory efficiency. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional partners, this role helps ensure the timely flow of product through the supply chain while maintaining accurate inventory data and supporting a high standard of service. Here are some of the other ways you’ll help us stand out:
- Manage inventory levels by SKU to optimize fill rates, product freshness, and inventory turns.
- Monitor inventory trends and demand drivers, including: promotions, seasonal events, store openings, and consumer purchasing patterns.
- Maintain accurate inventory data and replenishment parameters to support effective forecasting and decision-making.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely product replenishment and resolve supply related issues.
- Communicate and escalate inventory risks, including: shortages, out-of-stocks, late deliveries, damages, and product recalls.
- Partner with Category Management, Merchandising, Distribution, Retail Operations, and suppliers to support inventory and service level objectives.
- Coordinate inbound product flow to support Distribution Centre efficiency and inventory availability.
- Ensure adherence to product specifications, procurement standards, and replenishment policies.
- Monitor replenishment systems and reporting to identify opportunities for improved inventory performance and process efficiency.
- Contribute to overall team success by taking on additional related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications

- A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
- Typically requires post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Office Administration or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in inventory management, replenishment, supply chain, retail operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of retail operations and inventory management principles, preferably within a food retail environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Sound judgement and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in an environment that involves extended periods of sitting, repetitive movements or tasks, frequent computer use that may cause eye strain, open-office noise and interruptions, and periodic exposure to varying temperature conditions.
- Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
