Position: Inventory Analyst
Duration: 1+ Year Contract
Location: Dubuque, IA / Onsite

Position Summary
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, reconciliation activities, and transaction reviews within a manufacturing environment. This role supports inventory control processes, investigates discrepancies, analyzes root causes, and provides reporting to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. The position also assists in coordinating inventory-related activities and may provide guidance to inventory support personnel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and related inventory control activities to measure and maintain inventory accuracy.
Coordinate and analyze daily, monthly, and annual inventory audit processes.
Review and maintain inventory records, reports, and transaction data within enterprise systems.
Monitor and support manufacturing and materials management processes, including inventory transactions, returns processing, cycle counting, and excess material disposition.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and overall process effectiveness.
Prepare, review, and distribute inventory control and perpetual inventory reports.
Provide guidance and support to inventory personnel and assist with administrative and reporting requirements.
Primary Duties
Print and distribute inventory cycle count documentation.
Coordinate with inventory counting personnel to ensure timely and accurate count completion.
Enter inventory count results into company inventory management systems.
Research inventory discrepancies and perform root cause corrective action analysis.
Reconcile variances and close inventory count investigations.
Verify inventory data and support audit activities on the manufacturing floor as required.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of inventory control, inventory management, or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience performing inventory counts, inventory reconciliation, and root cause corrective action analysis.
Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or similar inventory management software.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system.
Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, or inventory operations.
Familiarity with cycle counting methodologies and inventory auditing processes.
Work Environment
This position combines office-based administrative responsibilities with time spent on the manufacturing floor.
Approximately 50% of the role may involve floor verification activities related to inventory counts and investigations, although this percentage may vary based on business needs.
The role is focused on inventory analysis, reporting, and verification activities and does not involve routine material handling or physical movement of inventory.
