2. About the Opportunity:
The Internship-Commercial Intelligence Analyst supports the development of a robust and sustainable reporting system that tracks global competitor products entering North America. This role provides data-driven insights to inform commercial decisions and offers visibility to leadership and cross-functional teams within the Specialized Materials Department. It may be performed remotely depending on the candidate.
3. Responsibilities:
- • Identify, evaluate, and document relevant data sources including public, third-party, and internal data on global competitor products entering North America.
- • Design and pilot a repeatable reporting framework covering data intake, transformation, quality checks, and outputs.
- • Build dashboards and scheduled reports to highlight trends, volumes, and competitive signals, and prepare concise leadership readouts.
- • Collaborate with the Specialized Materials team and mentor to validate assumptions, align metrics, and refine deliverables.
- • Document methodology, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures to ensure long-term sustainability of reporting systems.
4. Requirements:
- • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Marketing Analytics, or related field.
- • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and comfort with datasets.
- • Proficiency with AI tools including Claude.
- • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with the ability to translate findings for non-technical stakeholders.
- • Clear written and verbal communication and a collaborative working style.
- • Preferred: experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and/or basic SQL.
- • Familiarity with competitive intelligence, trade/import data, market research, or secondary research techniques is preferred.
- • Exposure to building reporting pipelines, dashboards, or KPI frameworks is a plus.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- • Paid internship with rate depending on experience.
- • The anticipated hourly rate ranges from $20.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
