NCU-ISAO is a nonprofit information sharing organization supporting U.S. credit unions through cybersecurity and fraud intelligence. We're hiring someone to grow into ownership of our member-facing intelligence content and engagement, starting with high-volume recurring work and building toward independent analytical judgment over time.

  • What You'll Do
  • Early Days
  • ● Own recurring, templated content for our monthly member meetings, including month-over-month comparisons, chart updates, and known content categories.
  • ● Learn our source material, our members' risk landscape, and how we translate technical threat and fraud information into what actually matters to a credit union.
  • As You Grow
  • ● Take on increasing ownership of novel and analytical content alongside our Director of Intelligence.
  • ● Co-present sections of live virtual member meetings.
  • ● Draft our Monthly and Annual Threats Report, Fall Survey Analysis, and more.
  • ● Help with member-facing advisories and communications more broadly.
  • ● Collaborate on intelligence sourcing and initiatives with key partners.
  • What This Role Is Not
  • ● Not a pure administrative or assembly role. We need real judgment about what matters and why, not just execution.
  • ● Not a technical/IT infrastructure role.
  • ● Not a fixed, same-every-day job. Priorities shift, and you'll be asked to help outside a narrow lane when needed.
  • Who Succeeds Here
  • We're not looking for ten-plus years of analyst experience. We're looking for a foundational understanding of cybersecurity, fraud, or financial-services risk (through coursework, certifications, adjacent work, or genuine self-directed learning) combined with real intellectual curiosity and the flexibility to work in a small, growing, sometimes-ambiguous environment. If you want a role that's identical every day, this isn't it. If you want to build real expertise and grow with an organization, it might be exactly right.

Requirements

  • ● Foundational familiarity with cybersecurity, fraud, or financial-services risk concepts.
  • ● Strong writing and content-development skills.
  • ● Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • ● Genuine interest in growing analytical and presentation skills over time.
  • ● Fully remote work with occasional travel (roughly once a year for our conference).

Preferred

  • ● Exposure to credit unions, banking, or regulated financial services.
  • ● Experience with presentation/slide tools.
  • ● Security-adjacent certifications (e.g., Security+) or equivalent self-study.
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $80,000 to $90,000. Most candidates will start in the $80,000 to $85,000 range. The top of the range reflects candidates who arrive with existing certifications (e.g., Security+) or equivalent hands-on cybersecurity or fraud experience.
  • ● Fully remote
  • ● Health coverage (high-deductible plan), plus vision coverage
  • ● 401(k) with company match
  • ● Annual cost-of-living adjustment and annual bonus eligibility
  • ● Dental coverage planned as the organization scales
  • Why This Role
  • NCU-ISAO has consistently grown year-over-year. We build people into bigger roles as we grow rather than defaulting to hiring externally every time.
  • This role starts with clear, learnable wins and real room to grow into more analytical and public-facing responsibility as you build expertise and trust.
