Role Description The Information Security Analyst at Centro Educação e Treinamento Eliana Villela will help protect the organization’s digital assets, systems, and data. In this part-time remote role, the analyst will monitor security events, review logs, and identify potential threats or vulnerabilities across applications and networks. The role includes assessing security controls, supporting incident response activities, and recommending remediation measures. The analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement security best practices, maintain documentation, and support compliance with relevant standards and policies. Ongoing responsibilities also include staying current with emerging cybersecurity risks and tools to continuously strengthen the organization’s security posture.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in core information security disciplines, including Information Security and Cybersecurity.
Experience with securing applications and services, including Application Security practices and controls.
Knowledge of Network Security concepts, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network architecture.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for investigating security incidents, interpreting logs, and identifying root causes.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP) is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH) or equivalent practical experience are an advantage.
Prior experience in an information security or IT-related role and ongoing commitment to learning about emerging threats and technologies.
