QA Analyst - Hybrid

Responsibilities
Based on project requirements and technical design, develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.
Participate in requirements reviews and provide quality input early in the software development lifecycle.
Plan test schedules and testing strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery timelines.
Schedule and facilitate test plan reviews with project managers, business analysts, and UAT leads.
Document test cases, test results, and defects using OpenText (formerly HP) Quality Center/ALM.
Create and manage test data, including data used for automated testing where applicable.
Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) tools to improve test design, generate test scenarios, create test data, accelerate test documentation, and enhance overall testing efficiency while validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy.
Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-assisted testing techniques to improve test coverage, productivity, and quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Document and communicate project quality throughout testing, including release readiness, using standard testing processes and status reporting templates.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase by providing test artifacts, test data, and knowledge transfer to business users.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, security requirements, and applicable industry regulations and standards.
Continuously evaluate emerging QA tools, automation capabilities, and AI technologies to recommend process improvements and best practices.
Desired Skills
3 10 years of software testing experience and/or Property & Casualty Insurance industry experience.
Experience with OpenText Quality Center/ALM (formerly HP ALM) for requirements, test case, and defect management.
Experience with data testing, including writing SQL queries and working with XML and other structured data formats.
Experience using Generative AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to improve software testing activities, including test case generation, test data creation, documentation, and productivity.
Understanding of AI-assisted testing concepts and the ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated testing artifacts.
Familiarity with test automation frameworks and AI-enhanced testing tools is a plus.
Exposure to Property & Casualty Insurance is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Self-starter with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills.
Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for leveraging emerging technologies to enhance quality assurance processes.
