The IFS Business Analyst – Finance, Projects, FSM & HR will serve as the primary functional support resource for the organization's IFS Cloud environment. This individual will own the Tier 1 and Tier 2 support process while progressively taking ownership of functional configuration, business process improvements, and solution optimization across Finance, Projects, Field Service Management (FSM), and Human Resources.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to move beyond traditional ERP support into a highly visible business-facing role. Working closely with the IFS System Architect, the successful candidate will participate in configuration, testing, future cloud upgrades, process improvement initiatives, and enterprise-wide ERP optimization efforts.
The role is approximately 80% functional and 20% technical, focusing on business analysis, ERP support, functional configuration, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement rather than software development.
- Key Responsibilities
- Own the Tier 1 and Tier 2 IFS support queue from intake through resolution.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve functional issues before escalating to the IFS System Architect.
- Support functional configuration and continuous improvement across:
- Finance
- Projects
- Field Service Management (FSM)
- Human Resources (HR)
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend process improvements.
- Document business processes, SOPs, configuration changes, and end-user training materials.
- Assist with user onboarding, training, and change management initiatives.
- Participate in future IFS Cloud upgrades, including regression testing, validation, and user acceptance testing.
- Support ongoing CRIMS enhancements and future reporting initiatives.
- Manage incidents, enhancements, and priorities within JIRA.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Steering Committee (SteerCo) meetings.
- Validate ERP data and support reporting initiatives as needed (Power BI development is not required).
- Build long-term internal IFS expertise while reducing reliance on outside consulting resources.
- Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on IFS ERP experience.
- Experience supporting one or more of the following functional areas:
- Finance
- Projects
- Field Service Management (FSM)
- Human Resources (HR)
- Strong functional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting ERP end users in a production environment.
- Experience with IFS Cloud preferred; strong IFS Applications 9 or 10 experience will also be considered.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments utilizing JIRA.
Preferred
- Construction, MEP, engineering, field service, or project-based industry experience.
- Experience configuring multiple IFS functional modules.
- Experience supporting ERP upgrades, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Familiarity with ERP reporting and data validation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
