Summary

• The .NET Developer will support the modernization of an enterprise tolling transaction platform undergoing a partial rewrite using microservices and modularization. The developer will work within an Agile/Scrum team and contribute to the development of backend services and application components using .NET Core and C#. This role collaborates with solution architects, cloud engineers, SQL developers, API developers, and testers and reports to the Development Manager.
• Key Responsibilities
• · Design, develop, and maintain .NET Core backend services and APIs.
• · Collaborate with SQL developers to implement efficient data access patterns.
• · Contribute to modernization of the tolling platform using microservices and modular architecture.
• · Develop new application features and enhance existing functionalities.
• · Participate in performance optimization efforts across application layers.
• · Integrate with Azure-based components and cloud services.
• · Support CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub pipelines.
• · Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver sprint commitments.
• Required Skills
• · 7+ years of experience developing applications using .NET Core and C#.
• · Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• · Experience consuming and integrating with SQL Server on Azure VM environments.
• · Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices.
• · Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub for CI/CD pipelines.
• · Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• · Experience integrating backend systems with ETL pipelines such as SSIS or Databricks.
• · Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Desired Skills
• · Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• · Familiarity with domain-driven design and microservices.
• · Experience with distributed systems or high-availability environments.
• · Understanding of tolling or transportation systems (preferred but not required).
