Group Director, Data Science

Position Summary...

We're looking for a strategic Data Science leader who can turn complex business challenges into scalable AI, machine learning, and analytics solutions that drive measurable business impact. In this role, you'll partner with executive stakeholders across business and technology organizations to identify high-value opportunities, shape enterprise data strategy, and lead teams responsible for developing and deploying advanced analytical solutions. You'll play a critical role in influencing business decisions, driving holistic enterprise outcomes, influencing technology roadmaps, advancing AI capabilities, and building a culture of innovation and technical excellence across the organization.

What you'll do...

• Partner with senior business leaders to identify strategic opportunities where data science, machine learning, and AI can create meaningful business value.
• Partner with leaders across business and technology teams to align data science initiatives, technology roadmaps, and strategic priorities that drive enterprise-wide impact.
• Translate complex business challenges into scalable analytical solutions that improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and business performance.
• Lead the design, development, validation, deployment, and scaling of advanced machine learning, optimization, and predictive analytics models.
• Guide teams through the full analytics lifecycle, including problem formulation, data strategy, exploratory analysis, experimentation, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Define and influence enterprise data strategy by improving how data is governed, accessed, managed, and leveraged across the business.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure data-driven solutions support holistic business decision-making, balancing competing priorities and maximizing value across the organization.
• Establish best practices for model governance, testing, validation, and performance measurement to ensure solutions are accurate, reliable, and scalable.
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies, advanced analytical techniques, and new data sources that can create competitive advantage.
• Build compelling data-driven narratives and visualizations that influence executive decision-making and organizational strategy.
• Develop and mentor high-performing teams of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analytics professionals while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Build strong partnerships across business and technology teams to align priorities, accelerate delivery, influence technology investments and roadmaps, and maximize business outcomes.
• Represent the organization internally and externally as a thought leader in AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics.

What you'll bring...

• Experience leading large-scale Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or Advanced Analytics teams in a complex business environment.
• Proven success using data, analytics, and technology to solve business problems and deliver measurable results.
• Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, optimization, experimentation, predictive analytics, and large-scale data ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and production-scale AI solutions.
• Experience working with modern programming languages and analytical tools such as Python, R, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business-focused recommendations.
• Experience developing enterprise data strategies and driving data governance, quality, accessibility, and scalability initiatives.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing technical teams.
• A strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and a passion for solving complex problems through data and innovation.

The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00 - $370,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 8 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2: Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 6 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3: 10 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
4 years' supervisory experience.
