  • Role Description The Global Director of Data is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the design, implementation, and oversight of data strategy across Affinity Advisors NZ’s global operations. This role oversees data governance frameworks, ensures high data quality standards, and drives best practices for data management to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making. The Global Director of Data will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data policies, manage data-related risks, and align data initiatives with business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising data operations, reviewing data integrity and compliance, coordinating clinical and financial data management processes, and mentoring data teams to enhance analytical capabilities and data-driven culture.
  • Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Governance and Data Management to define policies, standards, and best practices across global data assets.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Data Quality, including establishing controls, monitoring data integrity, and driving continuous improvement in data accuracy and completeness.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex datasets, generate insights, and support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess experience in Clinical Data Management or similar regulated data environments, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and policies.
  • Proven experience in a senior or director-level data leadership role, ideally within financial services or a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, reporting tools, and modern data platforms (e.g., data warehouses, lakes, and analytics solutions).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across global, remote, and cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Data Science, Information Management, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications are an advantage.
