Full Circle GIS is looking to hire a full time GIS Analyst to join our growing team. 401k Match Start Day 1. The annual salary range is $50k – $80k depending on skills and experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States (i.e. without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The GIS analyst is responsible for assisting with the development, maintenance, and administration of the enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) database and associated applications and provides support to the commercial team regarding new and existing customer interactions. The GIS analyst acts as a support liaison between all departments for GIS services, primarily providing materials that support business development and corporate development efforts. This position will include responsibilities associated with engineering design, project construction/management, regulatory filings, land management but specifically commercial and business development support functions.
  • Analyze commercial opportunities for additional volume on the system by reviewing permits and rig data around the pipeline systems
  • Review and analyze competitors and how they impact potential commercial deals
  • Assist in troubleshooting and upgrading the GIS software as new releases are available and coordinate the upgrades with other departments and their technologies
  • Provides weekly rig and permit activity updates to senior management
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of accurate and current electronic mapping data for pipelines and associated pipeline facilities
  • Prepares mapping resources for commercial team to properly evaluate potential commercial opportunities for various commodity streams.
  • Oversee the company’s relationship with Enervus and direct the commercial team on new resources available to them
  • Oversee extraction of data for GIS purposes from various internal and external customers
  • Makes critical decisions in the development and integration of spatial technologies, design and maintenance of spatial databases, and development of GIS deployment strategies.
  • Maintain databases that track drilling rigs and permit activity within the company’s focus area
  • Assist contract administration in tracking the company’s dedicated acreage
  • Develop mapping materials used in proposals by the commercial team and presentations for current and potential investors
  • Coordinates the development of training programs with the commercial team to use Enervus
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Present information to stakeholders in verbal or written format
  • Work with confidential information pertaining to corporate development opportunities
  • Map oil and gas production data in reference to the company’s pipeline system
  • Work closely with IT to troubleshoot issues with GIS related peripherals and maintain necessary supplies to operate company owned plotters
  • Assist IT in maintaining Pipeline systems on the website and other external company materials
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • BS/BA or equivalent coursework from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on geographical information sciences
  • 2+ years of prior GIS experience
  • Must be able to speak, write and comprehend English
  • Extensive experience working with Esri product suite including ArcGIS Pro and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be flexible and able to work in accordance with deadlines
  • Working Conditions:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
  • Occasional driving may be needed to travel to client plants and worksites as needed
  • Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
  • Will require lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 15 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis
