• Role Overview
• We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Solutions Architect with deep Databricks expertise to design, deliver, and govern enterprise-scale data platforms. The role will own architecture and best practices across Azure, Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Fabric, and Unity Catalog while collaborating with engineering, product, and security teams to enable analytics, BI, and ML use cases.

• Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of cloud data platforms on Microsoft Azure focusing on Databricks and Azure Synapse.
• Architect data ingestion, storage, processing, and serving layers using ADF, Databricks (Delta Lake), Synapse, and Fabric.
• Design and implement data governance, security, access control and lineage using Unity Catalog and Azure-native services.
• Define data modeling standards (star, snowflake, dimensional, lakehouse patterns) and ensure consistent data contracts.
• Lead performance tuning, cost optimization, and capacity planning across compute and storage resources.
• Develop reference architectures, solution blueprints, and IaC templates (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) for repeatable deployments.
• Drive CI/CD and observability for data pipelines (DevOps pipelines, testing, monitoring, alerting).
• Mentor engineering teams on best practices for PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, and data engineering patterns.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security, privacy, and regulatory policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer).
• Prior enterprise experience deploying lakehouse or hybrid lake/warehouse architectures.
• Experience with streaming solutions (Event Hubs, Kafka) and real-time processing in Databricks.
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau) and how data models serve reporting/analytics.
• Experience with cost management and governance in large Azure environments.
