2. About the Opportunity:
The Fraud Analyst role on the Threat Intelligence team focuses on researching and analyzing cyber threats, particularly those involving financial fraud and adversary tactics. This position contributes actionable intelligence that supports defensive measures and informs stakeholders. The role requires monitoring Chinese-language sources and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance threat detection and analysis capabilities.
3. Responsibilities:
- Research emerging cyber threats, adversary activity, and global threat trends
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize data from technical and open sources into actionable intelligence
- Track threat actor infrastructure, campaigns, and evolving tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Monitor Chinese-language sources for relevant threat activity and insights
- Produce high-quality intelligence reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and develop indicators and detection opportunities
- Collaborate with intelligence, engineering, and data science teams
- Continuously update technical expertise and stay informed on evolving threat landscapes
4. Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, Intelligence, Security Studies, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in Threat Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
- Foundational knowledge of cyber threat analysis and intelligence methodologies
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP and DNS
- Experience analyzing technical artifacts like domains and IP addresses
- Familiarity with OSINT collection and analysis techniques
- Exposure to CTI tools such as Jupyter Notebook, Maltego, or Elastic Stack
- Understanding of analytic frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or Diamond Model
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, distributed team
- Professional working proficiency in Chinese, capable of analyzing native-language sources
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financially motivated cyber activities including phishing and scams
- Basic scripting or programming skills (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with underground ecosystems and payment systems
- Experience with large-scale threat intelligence data analysis
- Exposure to detection development and identifying malicious indicators
- Working knowledge of Russian is advantageous
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Base salary range: $78,500-$117,500, determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education
- Eligibility for incentive compensation, equity, and medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)
