  • THE ROLE_
  • As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis activities of the business. Working closely with the Finance team and business leaders, you will help provide financial insights that drive informed decision-making and support the achievement of Talon's strategic objectives.

  • A DAY IN THE LIFE_
  • Support the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Prepare and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Own and maintain pipeline and revenue reporting, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across teams.
  • Produce monthly management reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand business drivers and provide financial insight.
  • Support month-end close activities, including revenue analysis, accrual reviews and management reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of board, executive and investor presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial transparency and reporting processes.
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial reporting systems, dashboards and databases.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality and financial processes.
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis, business cases and strategic projects as required.

  • Experience with financial planning, reporting or business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Adaptive Planning, NetSuite, Workday Adaptive, Tableau) would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze large data sets, drawing meaningful conclusions and recommendations.
  • AS WELL AS_
  • 2–4 years' experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, consulting or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience in preparing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience working with ERP and reporting systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of media, advertising, technology or professional services industries is advantageous but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems and communicate recommendations effectively.
