Our client is a growing, relationship-focused financial institution with a strong presence across the Southeast. The organization combines the resources and sophistication of an established bank with a collaborative, people-first culture where employees have meaningful visibility and the opportunity to make an impact.

They are seeking a Financial & Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join their Finance team and take ownership of several critical regulatory and financial reporting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance professional with hands-on bank regulatory reporting experience who enjoys detailed work, takes pride in accuracy, and wants broad exposure across regulatory reporting, treasury, accounting, and other Finance functions.

  • Essential Duties & Functions
  • Prepare and coordinate quarterly regulatory filings, including the Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income (Call Report) and FR Y-9, along with supporting schedules, reconciliations, documentation, and submissions.
  • Prepare recurring Federal Reserve and other regulatory reports, including FR 2900, FR 2644, and other required filings.
  • Research regulatory reporting requirements and determine appropriate reporting treatment for new products, transactions, and changes in the Bank's activities.
  • Maintain thorough supporting documentation, reconciliations, and controls to ensure an accurate and well-supported audit trail.
  • Monitor changes to FDIC, Federal Reserve, and other applicable regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support regulatory examinations and internal and external audits related to regulatory and financial reporting.
  • Administer collateralized public deposit activity, including the North Carolina collateral pool and Federal Home Loan Bank letters of credit, and monitor collateral coverage requirements.
  • Support the accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of brokered deposit activity, including new transactions, maturities, renewals, and interest payments.
  • Assist with accounting and administration related to equity compensation transactions, including awards, exercises, vesting, tax withholding, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with federal and state estimated tax payments and maintain related schedules and documentation.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Partner across Finance and other areas of the organization to improve reporting processes, controls, documentation, and overall efficiency.
  • Support special projects, financial analysis, and other Finance initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in banking, accounting, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or a related area.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on Call Report experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of bank regulatory reporting requirements and the ability to research and interpret regulatory guidance.
  • Working knowledge of banking products, general ledger accounting, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large and complex data sets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of ownership over the accuracy and completeness of your work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand how individual transactions flow through financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to independently manage recurring processes and consistently meet firm regulatory deadlines.
  • Organized and disciplined approach to documentation, controls, and follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • A humble, smart, team-oriented mindset — someone who asks thoughtful questions, is willing to dig into the details, and cares more about getting the answer right than getting the credit.
  • Why Join
  • Meaningful ownership: Take responsibility for highly visible regulatory reporting processes that are critical to the organization.
  • Broad Finance exposure: Build experience beyond regulatory reporting through involvement with collateralized and brokered deposits, equity compensation, tax, accounting, and financial close activities.
  • Growth opportunity: Join an organization that invests in employee development through training, career coaching, mentorship, and external professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborative culture: Work in a relationship-driven environment built around teamwork, trust, service, and strong partnerships.

  • Comprehensive benefits: Eligible employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k); HSA and flexible spending accounts; life and accident insurance; disability coverage; and additional benefits.
  • Visible impact: This role offers the opportunity to work across Finance and partner with stakeholders throughout the organization while improving processes and strengthening the regulatory reporting function.
